Asterion
A whistle-controlled robot minotaur I made. It uses two Arduinos (one for the whistle detection and one for motor control). I programmed four different tones for forward, turn right, turn left, and stop.
I used an FFT library to analyze the pitch of sounds and decide which command to run. It also wasn't exclusively whistle controlled—whistling was simply the easiest way to make a clear and loud enough sound, but you could also control the robot by screaming at it.
